Remembering....

Last Friday Andrew's Great grandpa passed away. He suffered from Alzheimer's the last couple of years and it really was just a matter of time. He was 88yr old. A few years ago (Aug 2007) the B-24 Liberator visited here. It was the plane he was on during WWII. The whole family came out and got to enjoy the day checking out the plane and he got to ride on it one last time. It made his day. I added old photos from his collection and the whole experience. Its kind of long. So here's to you Grandpa Allein , remembering the good ol' days for him and the family

Since Google took over the blog thing in 2007 they decided to limit the storage cappacity on pictures on there site. I was able one of the days to transfer some of the other blogs to another email address but for some reason I can't or more probably can't remember how to do it and I'm at my limit with pictures!!! SO I will be building a new site also called Andrew and Jonathan's Blog so please visit me there. Give me a few days to get it up and running. Finally some hot weather and aftera few days of warm temps it time to test out the pool. Jonathan's first swim in there. The water was still cool and he cried about that a bit but got use to it. That's why the face on grandpa....stillgetting use to the water

Its been hot the last few days and a great time to go and get wet at the spray park. Joanthan got a bit wet too as I put his feet under the spray. It was cold and wasn't fond of that but loved "walking" around to get his feet wet.

Schools almost out so its the start of the library reading program. They had an ice cream social too. This years theme has something to do with lobsters and fishing.

The have such cool props in the summer with whatever the theme of it is. There was this cool boat to get in. Andrew loved the ice cream. Joanthan wanted some and was miserable that he couldn't much to his hearts content on the ice cream so he cried and tried eating the plastic table cloth. So we went home and Andrewenjoyed his bowl (of half melted ice by that point) and I feed Jonathan his creal. He was happy then

Its getting obvious he needs to be in his crib now as he rolls all over now including on his back to sleep. There's not alot of room in a basinette to do that

Today we tried some butternut squash....... he loved it and goobled it right up and cried when it was done. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure it caused him to have a tummy ache and he "spit up" more like threw up most it later on along with him being fussy. I guess we will wait on more solids till tummy is not so sensitive to food. Poor Jonathan he loved eating it

He had to sit out one inning when there's too many players and the kids all take turns. Andrew was building a pitchers mound in the gravel while waiting for everybody to come back to the bench to bat.

4 Month Doctors Appointment

My little Wiggle worm went to the doctor. He's now up to 16lbs 9 oz, 25 1/4" long . He's developing fine. The doctor was cautious about the shots he got as he had a reaction the last time so he didn't get all his 4 month shots and they are waiting till 5 months for some just to make sure which ones are giving him the hard time. So far all was good tonight and no red limbs and sobbing baby YEAH!!

I had a picture of Andrew trying to eat poor Buttercup's tail. This one grabbed her by the neck and tried that. I wasn't quick enough to get a picture, Iwas more like trying to make him let go. But as you can see it didn't bother Buttercup much as she sat right next to him knowing what he's capable of .

Finally Michelle get to see Jonathan before he starts walking. Athough Joanthan is not a fun little bugger to take out to the restraurant these days. He's too little to sit in the high chairs they have and he doesn't like being belted to his car seat and the BIGGEST thing is he wants to eat FOOD any kind in the worst way. No...he doesn't want his gruel he wants whatever is on our plates and he gets ticked off not being able to do so and screams about this.

Friday instead of baseball practice they had parents vs kids. I didn't play as I had Jonathan. Not that I wanted to as I suck. I haven't swung a bat in years and never did like baseball much. Finally I set up his crib and part of his room. Its been a project I've been avoiding as its a pain in the neck. I was somewhat forced to start as the fish tank leaked and I needed to take out the carpet. I got a reminant and put it in here and it looks great!! Of course that's a step I could have done without. The biggest project it the computer and transfering that elsewhere . Not looking forward to that

SInce Andrew is in Cub Scouts he gets to be in the parade. You would have thought it was Christmas the way he was acting as he was SO excited!!! They gave him the US flag to hold and carry during the parade but when he saw the people all he wanted to do was wave at everybody!!!! He had a blast seeing everybody he knew wave back to him
